Lovage, while less recognized in Canada than in Europe, serves as an excellent flavourful base for stockpots or roasts. With a taste similar to celery and parsley, it is the main component in the original Maggi condiment. Its upright, bushy growth means a couple plants are typically sufficient for most backyard gardens.
